Chinese do not make use of two-child politics

China has gotten a two-child politic. It is, however, far from everyone who decide to make good use of the policy.
In 1980, the government decided that each family could only get 1 child. The government thought that, if they could reduce the world population for a while, they could save many lives. Later, they realized that the economy would not be sufficient if they continued as they did before and there would be higher unemployment.
The government introduced a new law that it now was allowed to get two children if one of the parents was an only child of a family. The Government then thought that it would flow in with applications from other families who wanted their second child.
Only 1,45 million applications were sent to the government, and the government had expected around 2 to 3 million applications.
Zhang Lan is 31 years old. She is a young Chinese woman and the mother of one child, who is two years old. She says: ‘’I’ll go to work 9 am. and I’m at work to 7 pm. When I come home, I have to make dinner and spend time with my child. I do not have time for two kids’’
Zhang simply thinks that one child is more than enough.
Many Chinese simply choose their economy over a second child.
Now that it is possible to get another child per family, then the world population will enlarge, and it will set its marks all over the world. Even though the Chinese has a new opportunity in the government’s new politics, they are still far from free to establish the family they want. The Chinese government does not intend to let their people choose their amount of children freely. They have made sure to leave their tracks in many Chinese lives through these laws. Through them, they are nearly able to control the population of China.
